Thematic studies are an integral part of the curriculum.  The teacher works to plan and create curriculum that takes our students to a deep level of understanding of a topic.  Art, Math, Science, Social Studies, and Literacy are woven together to create curriculum which not only meets national benchmarks but takes students to a deep level of understanding of a topic.

          Within our thematic studies, science studies are guided by two essential questions.  These are, first, “What is a scientific question?” and second, “What is a scientific truth?”  Students begin to learn the basic elements of science inquiry.  This includes formulating scientific questions, carrying out experiments, and recording and analyzing results.
